Topsoil is the foundation of any successful gardening project, it vital to use a good quality growing medium as poor recycled and lifeless soil can ruin a new lawn or crop of expensive flowers and shrubs, we supply a simple range of 3 quality soils all blended with a mixture of 100% natural Black sandy loam sourced from grade 1 Lancashire Arable land and varying percentages of organic compost depending on the mix.

Nope - we do not use this, many Growers sow there seed on plastic net wrap to allow fast harvesting but time has shown that the best way to produce turf is naturally over 14 to 18 months on its own root system.

No but we work with many self employed turf layers all over from the Fylde, Preston, Burnley and Ribble Valley so we will definitely be able to put you in the right direction.

Of course however to take advantage of our discount deal on soil ordered with turf then they have to come on the same delivery.

We do our best to accommodate everyones individual project and with our coverage of the county we usually find ourselves in every corner of Lancashire at least 2 to 3 times per week but our competitors costs and delivery charge of just £16 on turf orders means that we can't always allow specific dates as our super competitive charges rely in part on having the ability to group orders together.

Yes we sell 1 grade of turf, the vast majority of turf suppliers in the northwest are middle men/agents there is around 10 companies actually growing it and we are 1 of them. IN a nut shell everbody is growing a very similar mix made up of 20 to 30% dwarf amenity Rye grass and 70 to 80% fine fescue every grower will have different strains but if you read the seed mix it will be very similar to the next company, the climate in the northwest of England is best suit3to these turf mixes, the 100% fescue (bowling green turf) that was popular back in the 80s copes bet8over on the east coast of the country where they tend to get a lot less rainfall than here in Lancashire.
